One looping contest each afternoon:
 
Saturday & Sunday, March 26 & 27, 2011

      RULES, ETC.

  • Anyone/everyone may enter the contest on Saturday and/or Sunday: except professional yo-yo players *, and the first place winner on March 26, and relatives of the judges or the convention director) 
  • It's the INTERNATIONAL YO-YO LOOP-OFF CONTEST. 
  • Use any fixed axle yo-yo, no hitches allowed
  •  Last 3 remaining loopers will have yo-yos checked for hitches before winner is announced
  • If string breaks during looping you are eliminated
  • Judge or convention director will announce when to begin, all begin at the same time
  • Both of your feet must remain in fixed position the entire time
  • If you move your feet you are out of contest
  • Inside loops only
  • Person looping the longest is the winner, with a minimum of 10 loops to win
  • If there is an tie, another round of looping will be the tiebreaker
  • All decisions of the judges and the convention director are final 
  • *Professional yo-yo players: anyone who has been paid more than three times to perform, or paid to teach yo-yo classes, or worked for a yo-yo company, may not participate in this contest
  • A minimum of 3 qualified participants are required to hold the contest
  • Judges include  Judith Schulz, Barry North, John Crivello
  • Win bragging rights and see your name posted on the website, to prove your status to all who missed the contest
